Royalty-free music sites

There are a number of royalty-free music sites out there - here are some of my favorite ones:

Audiojungle

A huge site with loads of excellent royalty-free tracks in many different genres. Also has a great community of helpful users.

Audiomicro

AudioMicro has a large selection of quality tracks, and offers sound effects as well.

Pond5

Pond5 has almost 80,000 tracks at the time of writing. Has a really good selection of tracks and a clean interface.

iStockaudio

The site started out as a stock photo site, but now has a large collection of audio tracks as well. Click the 'Audio' tab on the site to browse their music collection.

An interesting alternative:

AudioDraft

If you're looking to get custom music done for your project at a reasonable price, Audiodraft is well-worth checking out:

You can set up a competition with a project brief, and users of the site then pitch their entries. And for the price of what you'd normaly pay for a single custom track, you could easily get hundreds of entries specifically tailored to your project. At the end of the competition, you pick a winner who then receives the price you've set. It takes a little more effort, but it could be well worth it. Has many different price levels, depending on your requirements (lengths, exclusivity etc).
